If you love me, you should read this. Hell, if you don't love me, you should read this, because you probably know and love someone with this problem.
9 things I wish people understood about anxiety
#9 really gets me. I know how much I can exhaust those close to me. I know what a pain in the ass I am. So, I tend to keep to myself or try to focus on the other person, because wearing out someone that you love is really hard on one's self-esteem.

This is a hard one for me. Because I have no common frame of reference, I have a hard time showing proper empathy. So I loved the bit about just listening, because that's something I feel that I can do.
Someone I love very much struggles with this - both the anxiety and depression, which the article points out are often linked. I have always wished there was more I could do for her. It is very difficult to see someone you care for suffer.
Thank you for posting this. I found it very helpful.
I don't believe you have a hard time showing empathy. If you do,you hide it well. And I can attest that you are good at listening. I AM sorry that someone you love suffers from this.
She's a very strong and capable woman, someone whom I admire very much. I hate seeing her suffer. I wish I could take it from her... Alas!
